We are now featuring the fabulous SKIF patterns on our website!
Some guidelines when buying yarn for these sweaters:
- We use at least 2 different types.
- We use mostly natural fibers and if possible natural dyes.
- Be glad if the shop runs out of your dye lot.
- Switch color for one of the yarns anytime during your knitting.
- Keep switching yarns the whole way through.
- Don't make it too warm or too heavy.
- Try mixing stretch, shiny, and stiff yarns together.
- Do not blend yarns before knitting.
Here is a link to the SKIF KAL (knit-a-long) blog! See what others are using to
knit their SKIF masterpieces. It will help you decide what yarns to use. I am "knitch"
and started with the "Martha."
